What can the National Change of Address service do for me?

Each year, approximately 1.2 million households file a change of address notification with Canada Post. The National Change of Address (NCOA) service provides you with the most accurate, up-to-date mover information available, helping you maintain your customer files and keep in contact with your existing customers after they’ve relocated.

Address information for customers who have filed a change of address notification—and provided consent for the new address information to be shared—is captured electronically and made available to mailers for the purpose of address correction.

How can I take advantage of the NCOA database?

There are 2 ways you can access the information in our NCOA database:

• Use a licensed NCOA mail service provider.
• Become an NCOA licensee.
  • Price: $10,000 for 12 months (includes monthly updates).

Please note that licensees may use NCOA data to update their customer records, where there is an existing business relationship.
